Historic Heathcote Hall

One of only a few state heritage-listed homes in The Shire, Heathcote Hall is one of the oldest and grandest surviving buildings in Sydney's south. Built in 1887 in the Italianate style, it has a colourful past. During World War I, there were rumours it was used by spies when lights were reportedly seen flashing from the tower and in 1996 it was the setting for the movie The Munsters' Scary Little Christmas.

It will be restored to its former glory and forms the focal point of Heathcote Grounds, giving the project a unique flavour that marries history with contemporary design. Surrounded by walking paths and communal gardens with retained English oaks, camellias and date palms, it’s intended as a space for both residents and the public to enjoy.
